‘A watched kettle does not boil’, or so they told me so I peeped, I looked away and I pretended not to notice. The kettle still remained the same. I waited, I was patient and I took a deep breath in. The kettle still remained the same. I tried positive thinking and willed it to boil. But oh my dears, the situation refused to change!!
That’s when I realised that watched or otherwise, some kettles just don’t boil. They wont boil. Why didn’t someone tell me that?
Why didn’t someone tell me that we have to accept the inevitable at times? Why didn’t someone tell me that sometimes, we need to stop watching, stop hoping and stop praying for something that may just not be? Sometimes things are not meant to be. Sometimes it’s best to let go and move on to new possibilities, new goals, new path!
So, here’s the lesson learnt. Some kettles just don’t boil and we have to learn to let go and move on to… a new kettle perhaps?????
